October 27th, 2009..

A trip down memory lane...!
Our day started BRIGHT and EARLY at 4:30 a.m.! I don't think I got even one minute of sleep that night because I was so anxious! Pat on the other hand... he had no trouble at all sleeping until about the 4th snooze of his alarm!... and some things never change! :)

Big mama... at the time I thought I was doing so good... as I look back... WHOA! I wish someone would have told me that my face had blown up.

Patrick is hilarious. I think he was a little bit nervous!

Waiting for some action! We were both so anxious. Patrick was so anxious he went over and took a nap on the couch right after this picture..

At 4:04 p.m. we were able to meet our little 8lb 3oz bundle of joy. We had no idea what a treat we were in for. This is when all the fun began..!

So happy to meet his new world.

"hmm... where am I?!" - I am not sure I will ever forget that little face. We had a sonogram about a week before he was born and got to see some humongous lips in it. Right after he was born I asked Patrick... "How are his lips!?" What was I worried about? He is the most handsome little Reid I have EVER seen!

I probably should not post such a nasty picture of myself. However, this is a picture with our sweet friend Dr. Winfrey. She is such a blessing!

You can probably see my Sevi's burrito in the background. I ate it in about 1 minute flat after Reid was born. That is hard work! I love this picture because you can see his feet. He is adorable. Seriously!
All cleaned up... now time to rest with Momma!

If anyone knows how to slow down the time please let me know! I will admit.. I got a little teary eyed looking at these- mainly because deep down I know that before I know it he will be going off to college.... and it better be MSU!

I just cannot believe that my little Reid has turned 1. This year has gone by way to fast! I would most definitely say that it has been full of joy! I was able to take the day off and spend it hanging out with Reid. He was so anxious to start his birthday that he woke up at 5:45!! I will admit I wasn't extremely excited about being up that early on my day off... but it was Reid's day so we got up and got busy playing! We got to have breakfast with Daddy then he headed to school. Not to long after that Reid and I snuggled up to a good 'ole episode of Backyardagains! The next thing I knew it was 11:00 and we were ready to play some more! We had lunch with Dad then spent the afternoon playing some more! Reid's sweet friends Landon and Lily got to join us for dinner to celebrate Reid. The day was was great! I am so thankful for the extra day playing with Reid!

To my birthday boy!...
You are our sunshine. You truly light up each day! I am so glad that God chose me to be your Mommy! This past year has gone way to fast... but each month you get to be more and more fun! I am anxious to continue watching you grow and getting to see the world through your eyes!
  • You still LOVE to eat. Anything and everything! Once you are finished eating your meal you are glad to go eat some of someone else's!

  • You still love to play with both of your dogs. You and Ellie have a great time... Jake decides he is safer under the bed after about 5 minutes.

  • We are dreading these winter months because as soon as we get home you are ready to go play outside! It doesn't matter what we are playing as long as you are outside.

  • I am going to go ahead and say you are walking!... you still get down and crawl a lot but I KNOW you can walk!!

  • You are such a snuggle boy. Just the past week you have started giving lots of kisses. I also love how you always give people a hug when they are leaving!

  • You love bath time no doubt! I drain the water and once I turn it off it is time to get out. The other night you refused. You just layed face down on the tub and pretended not to hear me.

I could go on and on about you. You are so darn cute! Thank you for blessing our lives more than you could ever imagine.

I Love You!!!... and Happy Birthday!

Mommy!

A boy and his 4-wheeler...

Reid got his first of many 4-wheelers for his birthday! We aren't sure what kind of driver he will be so Daddy decided it is best if he wears his bike helmet to ride!
He is so cool. Can't you tell?!
Posing by his new ride.
He has been riding to long... gotta stretch those legs.
Grandpa and Grandma - thank you for my new 4-wheeler. Love, Reid!

Happy Birthday Party Day Reid!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was a BIG celebration day! We were able to celebrate Reid's first birthday!

The kids wore their Halloween costumes. I would like to introduce you to....
Dr. McCauley! He wanted to wear his Nike shocks since he would be on his feet all day seeing his patients.
Here is his sweet little girlfriend Lily. She is always on the go...

Lily's big brother Landon!

How lucky are we?! The McGaughey's made it to the party!

Watching grandma carve a pumpkin.
Another one of Reid's girls... Brooklyn!

Sam is showing Reid how to ride the 4-wheeler.
Olivia the ladybug... Reid is LUCKY! He has all these cute girls he hangs out with!
Ben, Beth, Tucker, and Libby... it was Tucker's idea to take this picture! HA!

Some of Mommies sweet friends who came to celebrate with Reid!
The cooks... I asked them if I could take their picture. Apparently you are not supposed to ask you just take it.
Sweet Mojo... I think she is one of Reid's favorite people. He thinks she is really funny!

Here we go....

The final product.
Wow Mom! You have sure been holding out on me! He already had his second piece this afternoon after lunch!
Fresh and clean thanks to Gigi!!
Time for presents!... the first gift was a hit!.. He is already getting a phone call!
A Texas Ranger hat and Texas Longhorn cup from Grandaddy White. Who would have ever guessed that!

What a fun party! We were a little bummed from all the rain but it all turned out great! Reid got way too many toys, but I know he will have so much fun playing with them all! We are so thankful for all of our family and friends who joined us in celebrating our special blessing!

Pumpkin Patch 2010

We went out to check out the pumpkins after school yesterday. Reid didn't really know what to think. Of course he had to taste them and pat them... all he knew for sure is that he DID NOT want to take a cute picture sitting by them. We were able to trick him and get a couple though! :)
